Location The Nashville Convention Center is located in downtown Nashville, TN and just minutes away from a variety of restaurants, live music venues, NFL Titans football, NHL Predators hockey, night clubs, The Country Music Hall of Fame and Frist Art Museum. The convention center is connected to the Renaissance Hotel and Gaylord Entertainment Center. Parking There is ample parking at and around the Nashville Convention Center. Meeting Space Located in the heart of downtown Nashville, the Convention Center has 118,675 sq. ft. of exhibit space, a newly updated ballroom and 25 meeting rooms. The main Exhibit Hall can be divided into three sections. Undivided, the Exhibit Hall can seat up to 9,000 people for general sessions, 6,000 for a banquet dinner or house 615 10' x 10' booths.

Nashville was named the permanent capital of Tennessee in 1843, and one year later another Tennessean was elected president - James K. Polk. The year 1845 ushered in the construction of the state capitol building, designed by William Strickland, and the death of Andrew Jackson. Polk died in 1849, only a few years after Jackson's death, and was buried with his wife on the grounds of the State Capitol. During the Civil War, African-American Nashvillians helped Union troops construct Fort Negley. The partially-restored fort overlooking downtown is open to the public.
